Poem from our passenger

Norwich Door to Door

As Christmas time approaches,
I’d like to sing the praises
Of some very lovely people
With some poetic phrases
The people who do Door to Door,
They never make a fuss.
Just take me in my wheelchair,
And push me on the bus.
I’m locked in there for safety.
They’re very sure of that.
Quite often on the journey
We have a little chat.
Most of them are brainy folk
Who’ve had an education.
For my six pounds I get all this,
Plus, intelligent conversation.
Sometimes for them I’m trouble,
A lively extrovert,
This lady in a wheelchair
Stills wants to be a flirt.
And often they lean over
Though it is very dumb.
I feel a big temptation
To pinch one on the bum!
So, I would like to say to them
A very big THANK YOU
And by the way, I’d like to wish
A merry Christmas too.
