We can help you to get out and about

Our minibuses operate week days in the Greater Norwich area, including Taverham, Drayton, Hellesdon, Catton, Sprowston, Thorpe St Andrew, Trowse, Lakenham, Eaton, Cringleford, Earlham, BowthorpeCostessey, the city centre and Riverside. We serve the Norwich Community Hospital in Bowthorpe Road, but not the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital.

 

There is no limitation on the type of journey: business or pleasure, medical or shopping or just visiting.

 

It is easy to become a member of Norwich Door to Door. Fill in a membership registration form and one of our experienced drivers for a ten minute chat to assess your needs and find out how we can help you. They’ll ask about the kind of help you might need getting to and from the bus, whether you use a wheelchair, a walking aid or a mobility scooter, whether you can transfer to a bus seat.

 

 

Once accepted for our service you pay a £15 annual membership fee. Then simply call the office on 01603 776735 on a week day between 10am and 2pm to make a booking to travel. 

 

Standard single journeys are £3.00 each way and an average journey is usually 3 miles. For longer journeys, between 4 and 10 miles, the fare is £5 each way and we will quote individually on journeys exceeding 10 miles.

 

You pay on the bus for your journey. Simply print and fill in an membership registration form below or call the office on 01603 776735 to request a copy is posted to you for completion.

We take bookings as follows:

 

  • For social trips – Up to 2 days prior to your planned journey.
  • For the doctor, dentist or other health and therapy appointments – Up to 7 days prior to your planned journey.

If you ever need to cancel a journey, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can offer the place to someone else.

At weekends we sometimes undertake group bookings, subject to driver team availability. We also try to extend our services to meet the need of disabled groups/organisations across Norfolk.

Risk Assessments

 

Health and safety dictates that we are aware of all potential risks. Before we accept any new passengers to the service we make an appointment to come and see you and carry out a risk assessment.
