Norwich Door to Door were delighted to be one of the first charities to take part in Bunnings Warehouse famous ‘sausage sizzle’ barbecues. Volunteers sold some very tasty sausages alongside delicious homemade cakes on Sunday 8th April at the front of Bunnings Warehouse on Sprowston Retail Park. The tasty Aussie lamington cake made by our volunteers went down a treat too. The event raised nearly £500 for the charity and was such a success that Norwich Door to Door have booked a second barbecue to take place Sunday 5th August and hope to see you then.
We’re thrilled to announce that we had 26 very happy winners! We’d like to thank everyone who supported the raffle either buying tickets, selling tickets, volunteering at the stall or contributing to the wonderful assortment of Easter eggs we received. Special thanks to Laura Clifton, Leathes Prior and Saffire Chocolates for their very generous donations. Between the stall and the raffle we raised a fantastic £480!
Tension was high as sixteen teams competed in our annual Quiz & Chips event. Quiz master Tim Simms and his wife prepared a good selection of challenging questions for discussion based on a wide range of subjects. A picture round required identification of animated films and teams where provided with names of TV characters and asked to name the sit-com. All teams enjoyed a wonderful evening and scores were close. We would like to thank Barrett’s Fish & Chip Shop, Reepham Road, Norwich for providing an excellent service and very tasty supper. And of course our volunteers whose support is invaluable. The event raised £457 for Norwich Door to Door.

Great benefit to my independence, impossible to leave the flat without your help and equally isolation ended. Cheerful people!
