Summer Fair

Six minibuses were out on Saturday 7th July to take our passengers to Notre Dame Preparatory School to our Summer Fair. We were delighted by voices of The Norwich Community Choir and Broadside Revival, bought bargains at the clothing, plant and jewellery stalls, won bottles on the Leathes Prior tombola stall and thoroughly enjoyed donated home-made cakes and BBQ supplied by Tesco Metro Guildhall. Same again in 2019!

Great Yarmouth Air Show

Nine passengers and four volunteers enjoyed a great day at Great Yarmouth Air Show on Sunday 17th June, again thanks to East of England Co-op’s Tackling Loneliness Fund. As well as enjoying displays by the Red Arrows, AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers, Catalina and Spitfire, there were lots of laughs and some great fish and chips! We look forward to the show in 2019.

Hoveton Hall Country Fair

With the support of six of our volunteers and funding from the East of England Co-op’s Tackling Loneliness Fund, three Norwich Door to Door minibuses were able to operate on Sunday 27th May taking passengers to the Hoveton Hall Country Fair. We all enjoyed the East Norfolk Militia display, Falconry, Clay pigeon shooting, Fun Dog Show, Punch & Judy, Storytelling, Craft Stalls, Food Stalls and as well as the beautiful gardens.

Quiz & Chips Night

Tension was high as sixteen teams competed in our annual Quiz & Chips event. Quiz master Tim Simms and his wife prepared a good selection of challenging questions for discussion based on a wide range of subjects. A picture round required identification of animated films and teams where provided with names of TV characters and asked to name the sit-com. All teams enjoyed a wonderful evening and scores were close. We would like to thank Barrett’s Fish & Chip Shop, Reepham Road, Norwich for providing an excellent service and very tasty supper. And of course our volunteers whose support is invaluable. The event raised £457 for Norwich Door to Door.
