Volunteer with us

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Our team of friendly and reliable volunteers are essential to the Norwich Door to Door service.

Whatever your skills or background, we offer the training you need to help us deliver our services to disabled adults and children and isolated older people. You can volunteer several days a week, or half a day a week, or only when we have an event – your commitment to the number of hours worked is flexible.

Volunteers are reimbursed for out-of-pocket expenses.

WHAT NEEDS DOING?

We always welcome new drivers and passenger assistants to crew the buses.

Other opportunities include assisting with our fundraising events, such as manning stalls, making cakes, craft or knitted items, and with promotional activities, involving social media and photographic skills.

We are also keen to hear from volunteers prepared to share their skills in business, marketing and networking and who might consider becoming a trustee of Norwich Door to Door.

WHERE DO I START?

After completing an application form and an informal interview, applicants are encouraged to spend a day on the bus to see first-hand what the role entails and if they would like to continue with the application process. All our volunteers are subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and fully referenced before training begins.

Feel free to give us a call to discuss our volunteering options on 01603 776735. We would be delighted if you wanted to pop in for a chat to see if the opportunity is right for you or you can register your interest using the application forms below.
