Accessible Transport

Individual Transport

Norwich Door to Door’s assisted transport is for residents of Norwich with limited mobility who are unable to access public transport.

You must be living and travelling within the Southern Bypass and the Broadland Northway to use the service.

Norwich Door to Door operates a fleet of 11 fully accessible minibuses, ensuring passengers travel comfortably and safely to appointments, clubs, day centres, shops and to visit friends and family on week days.

Before you can use the service, a member of the team will visit you to undertake a risk assessment. There is a £40 charge for this service.

As a passenger of Norwich Door to Door you will pay an annual  fee of £25 to use the service.

Bookings for travel can be made by calling the office on week days between 9.00am and 4.30pm.

DUE TO CURRENT HIGH DEMAND FOR THE SERVICE, WE ARE UNABLE TO TAKE ON NEW PASSENGERS UNTIL 1 SEPTEMBER 2026

PASSENGER REGISTRATION FORM

Fares

Your fare will be paid for when you book your trip. If this is not possible, payment will be taken when you travel, or you can be invoiced monthly.

up to 1 mile                     £6 one way

up to 3 miles                   £7 one way

up to 5 miles                   £8 one way

5 miles +                          £10 one way

Late cancellations

Passengers who cancel their trips on the day of travel will be charged the full fare. We are a charity providing fares at a much lower rate than commercial enterprises and cancellations on the day cause a big loss of income which we cannot afford. We also have waiting lists for journeys and late cancellations create a gap in our schedule which could have been filled by another passenger.

Transport for Groups

Transport is occasionally provided for clubs, societies or resident groups should there be capacity within our schedules. Due to current high demand for our service, this is not often feasible but please call 01603 776735 to discuss your requirements and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Transport for Schools & Colleges

Norwich Door to Door supports Norfolk County Council and local students by providing school transport for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Students or parents requiring transport will need to speak with their school/college in the first instance or get in touch with Norfolk County Council

Travel Norfolk Car Scheme
