Six minibuses were out on Saturday 7th July to take our passengers to Notre Dame Preparatory School to our Summer Fair. We were delighted by voices of The Norwich Community Choir and Broadside Revival, bought bargains at the clothing, plant and jewellery stalls, won bottles on the Leathes Prior tombola stall and enjoyed donated cakes and BBQ supplied by Tesco Metro Guildhall.
Great Yarmouth Air Show
Nine passengers and four volunteers enjoyed a great day at Great Yarmouth Air Show on Sunday 17th June, again thanks to East of England Co-op’s Tackling Loneliness Fund. As well as enjoying displays by the Red Arrows, AeroSuperBatics Wingwalkers, Catalina and Spitfire, there were lots of laughs and some great fish and chips! We look forward to the show in 2019.
Hoveton Hall Country Fair
With the support of six of our volunteers and funding from the East of England Co-op’s Tackling Loneliness Fund, three Norwich Door to Door minibuses were able to operate on Sunday 27th May taking passengers to the Hoveton Hall Country Fair. We all enjoyed the East Norfolk Militia display, Falconry, Clay pigeon shooting, Fun Dog Show, Punch & Judy, Storytelling, Craft Stalls, Food Stalls and the beautiful gardens.
On Thursday 17th May, Norwich Door to Door held a fundraising evening named Call My Quaff. In the style of Call my Bluff, our celebrity panelists described the mystery wine and teams had to determine who was telling the truth! The evening was a great success. We would like to thank Jeremy from the Norfolk Wine School, Keiran from Notre Dame Preparatory School and our driver Tim for entertaining us. We thank The Narthex for providing a wonderful venue and support and are very grateful for raffle prizes of a wine tasting voucher from www.norfolkwineschool.com and experience day voucher from www.experiencedays.co.uk.
